Purely Natural: 1 For All Face Scrub Review

You guys know I'm constantly complaining about my dry skin (I know, I know I should shut up about it) so when I was given the opportunity to try a product from Purely Natural I knew I wanted to try a scrub!
Although after I got to the website I was lured in by all the different products and it took me forever to decide what I wanted! I finally talked myself into going with my original plan of a scrub and chose the 1 For All Face Scrub.

Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner

The second item in my prize from VivaAdonis.com (read more and see the first prize in my previous post) is the Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner.

Personal Post: My Christmas Day Plans

Merry Christmas everyone!
Technically its the 23rd as I'm writing this but I wasn't sure if I'd have time to write up a post on the actual day what with all the family that will be visiting, so I decided to play it safe and schedule one!

I'm not sure if I'll be writing posts throughout the 'holiday' (oooh I feel very American saying that!) period but I might schedule posts so I wanted to take this chance to wish you all a very happy and SAFE Christmas and New Years. If you are planning on going out to celebrate over Christmas and New Years please be careful and stay safe :)
Also as this is my first Christmas on this blog I just want to say thank you to everyone who follows, reads and especially those who comment even if its just to say you liked the product as well, it honestly makes my day.

ANYWAY onto the post!..

OOTD: Christmas Jumper tiiimeee

Hey guys so I just wanted to do a quick post to show you all my Christmas Eve OOTD!
I wasn't planning on wearing a Christmas Jumper today but a while ago I won a twitter giveaway hosted by DaisyStreet.co.uk and my prize of 2 Christmas Jumpers came this morning so I couldn't not wear one!

Below is a photo of myself and my little sister in our Christmas Jumpers being silly. I decided to go with the classic Blue Steel pose from Zoolander and I guess she decided to go with Crazy Person hahaha.

Avon 6 in 1 Eyeshadow palette 'Blue Moods'

So a few weeks ago I received an email from the lovely Dee and Sinead from Viva Adonis to tell me I'd won one of the Avon sets in their giveaway. I couldn't wait to try the products as although I've tried quite a few Avon products in the past I've never tried the specific products in the set!

So first up from the set is the gorgeous 6 in 1 eyeshadow palette in the colour 'Blue Moods'.

please excuse my finger prints all over the case!

Avon SuperExtend Mascara

Excuse the crappy photo I had to use flash as it was night time!

I've wanted to do this post for a few days now but I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted to say. To be honest I wasn't sure of my opinion on the mascara.. until I used it this morning.
I hate it. This post is going to be short and sweet because to be honest I haven't much to say about this product.

Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel

If you've read my posts for a while you'll know I'm always banging on about having sensitive skin and how I get bad reactions to some products. This goes for eye creams/gels also.
I've tried a few creams and gels but they've all brought out a rash under my eyes, making them sore, red and sensitive to touch.
I found 2 of these sample sachets in my Mams room of Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel. Now I've tried the Yes To range before without any reactions so I was quite intrigued to try this.

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel -Full Size 30ml will set you back..

Blistex Relief Cream for Sore Dry Chapped Lips

I suffer with the most horrendously dry chapped lips in winter.
I have a habit of biting and picking at the dry bits (i know ew) which causes my lips to bleed. Then a scab of dry skin will grow over it which I will proceed to pick again. Its a vicious circle. I don't even know I'm doing it sometimes.
I've used Blistex Relief Cream before but had run out and decided to pick it up again..

*Btw I'm sorry I don't have any before and after photos, when I started using this my camera was dead and the charger was in Germany with my brother!*

Blistex Relief Cream around €3.25 in any chemist/pharmacy

River Island Simple Cross Body Bag from ASOS.com

Every time I read that title I picked a body bag with a cross on it or something haha.

So ASOS.com is one of my FAVOURITE online websites. (Now before I start my praising of ASOS, no I am not being paid to say this etc. I am just genuinely in love with this site, if I could marry it I would).
Not only do they have a bazillion different brands and departments to choose from, they also do FREE SHIPPING WOOOHOOO. I hate paying €5 for other websites to ship to me. Now, I ALWAYS head straight to ASOS.com when I want a browse, I don't even bother checking other websites (I used to be a serial online window shopper) because I know I'm not going to pay the shipping price on other sites (stingey I know :P)

On my many online window shopping trips to ASOS.com, I always go to the bag section just to look at this one particular bag. A black cross body bag. My current cross body bag has a broken zip so I was in need of a new one BUT I didn't fancy paying €25 with Christmas coming up. So I put it off, and put it off and put it off UNTIL ASOS.com were having a 20% off EVERYTHING sale with a coupon code. For some reason I was willing to pay €20 for it but not €25... I don't know is that weird? I think its weird but when I saw €20 I was like ONLY €20? YES PLEASE.. I don't know.. Anyway, I was on it like a car bonnet (Geordie Shore waahheeyy ;)) and threw that baby into my basket immediately and without a second thought checked out.

I waited patiently for it to come and it actually came quite fast, I ordered it on the 9th of December and it was shipped on the 10th and arrived at my door on the 13th. Most things from the UK take FOREVER to come to me. I couldn't help but open it before I took photos but WHATEVZ I don't think you guys care about packaging anyway but I'll show you..

Infinity Black Cord Bracelet

I've always liked the look of these bracelets but there was no way I was paying like €5 plus another €5 shipping on some jewellery website. I decided to hit ebay and see what I could find.

I loove this bracelet! I've been wearing it none stop since I got it!

Gold Infinity Bracelet €2.45 Ebay.com

FOTD: Red Rover

So this was yesterdays FOTD when I was trying out my new MAC Viva Glam 1 lipstick (full review and swatches here). I showed my FOTD in that post but didn't mention what other products I was wearing on my face so thought I'd share it with you all.
I might so a review and swatches on the blush I'm wearing in this also as I actually really like it and its pretty cheap too!

Personal Post: My Blog Journey

So I love checking out the #bbloggers trend on Twitter, whenever I'm on twitter you'll find me scrolling down through it. Any of my tweets that have to do with beauty/fashion I always add a #bbloggers or #fbloggers hashtag because I like other bloggers to get involved and reply to my tweets. Anyway, tonights topic was how we got started blogging and our experiences etc.
I did tweet a little about how I got started but thought I'd write a post as I find these kind of posts really interesting, maybe its just my nosy side coming out haha, but I like knowing how others got started.

So. Where to start..

MAC Viva Glam Lipstick (photo heavy)

So I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous lipstick in Seonaid from Beauty And Baggage's giveaway.
Weirdly enough I don't actually own a good quality red lipstick (I had one of those crappy ones you get in gift sets when you're a young teenager that I threw out a few months ago) so I was so excited to actually get this!

Get The Look: Purple Haze Eye Makeup Look

So in the last post I showed you my face of the day (here) including an eye look I also showed (here).
You all know I'm obsessed with beautysets.com so I decided to show you all in a simple picture how to get the same look!

MAKEUP MADNESS: Green Festive 'Grinchy' Makeup Look

So I was extremely bored tonight and decided to go crazy with makeup. I'm more of a neutral or grey/black smokey eye looks, occasionally using a dark blue/navy or a dark purple in my smokey eye but other than that I usually stay away from colours.
I always think coloured eye looks in magazines etc always look amazing but never actually use them on myself so I decided to try it since I wasn't going anywhere!
I already had makeup on from earlier that day (eyeliner and mascara) so it was only a matter of throwing on some eyeshadow.

Boohoo.com #PartyPose Party Outfit Entry!

So you all know how much I love picking out outfits and making collages on BeautySets.com so when I saw Boohoo.com were holding a Party Outfit contest I jumped at the chance to enter!
So basically you have to create an outfit from the HUUGGEE selection on Boohoo.com but the catch is the outfit has to be under £100. Which is surprisingly easy with the amazing prices on Boohoo!
So here the outfit I chose..
So this is definitely an outfit I would wear! We all know sometimes we can go a little crazy around Christmas and buy an over the top extremely glittery dress that isn't really appropriate year round - I'm guilty of this - so I decided to go down a different route and chose a dress that would be versatile. I chose this gorgeous lace dress that can be worn casual or dressy and is perfect year round! I paired it with a classic black blazer (which by the way was an absolute BARGAIN) for extra warmth, a gorgeous snakeskin clutch and a simple black peep toe heel. Because the dress was very pretty and lacey I wanted to keep the blazer, shoes and clutch black so as not to draw attention away from the dress. For jewellery, as I was keeping everything else quite simple, I decided to go all out and chose some crazy in your face pieces. I chose this spike bracelet and really pretty gold ring.
And now for the important part.. did I stay within budget..
£96.00! I think that's pretty damn amazing for a dress, jacket, shoes, clutch AND accessories?
All the items are listed below with the price and a link to each item.

1. Simone Lace Netted Skater Dress £22 here
2. Serena Black Fitted Scuba Blazer £20 here
3. Lilly Ornate Armour Ring £8 here
4. Millie Snake Print Envelope Clutch £18 here

5. Yara Black Suedette Peeptoe Platform Heels £20 here

6. Xanthe Chunky Spiked Bracelet £8 here

I hope you liked my outfit. For more details on the contest and if you'd like to enter then you'll find all the details here.

Fuschia: An Irish Makeup Company - Eyeshadow Palette

So I'm not sure if you've heard about Fuschia, basically it's an Irish makeup company who makes EVERYTHING from foundation, primers, bronzers, blushes, eyeliner, lipstick, lipgloss and so on (I could list for days), basically every makeup product you could need! Check them out here!
I first used Fuschia while doing my beauty therapy course, they were the makeup brand we used. We had a big makeup stand full of all the products and our own little kits (including the palette I'm about to show you) I fell in love with them immediately. Especially with their extremely pigmented eyeshadows! Which is why I wanted to show you their palettes!

NOTD: Nails Inc Elizabeth Street

Elizabeth Street is the polish I picked up with my Glamour Magazine. I already have enough reds/blacks and the glitter didn't really appeal to me but I didn't have a colour like Elizabeth Street. I'm so glad I picked this one because I LOVE it.
I did about 3-4 coats to get it opaque but that's just me being fussy about it being truly opaque.
This is my first Nails Inc polish but I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for more to add to my collection.

Which Nails Inc polish did you pick up in Glamour? Or if you didn't get Glamour whats your favourite Nails Inc polish?

Winter Wonderland Outfit: Barratts Christmas Giveaway

Earlier on today I received an email from Kieron from Barratts.co.uk. He told me all about their current giveaway and of course, When I found out the task was to create outfits I was on it like a car bonnet (yes I just referenced Geordie Shore WHATCHA GON' DO BOUT IT).
Now to summarise the task (you can view all details here including the scenario options), there was 4 different scenarios to choose from, then you created an outfit for that scenario. PLEASE NOTE, the outfit MUST contain a pair of shoes from Barratts. Becaase I couldn't choose one scenario, I decided to do all 4, which I will add is allowed!! Yay more fun creating outfits and more chances to win! (you'll find links to my other outfits below). Entries are being accepted up until the 10th of December.

I decided to set myself another mini challenge (obviously there was no prize but I thought it would be fun anyway! We all know purchasing from a lot of different websites can drive up the cost of shipping!) I could only use items from Barratts and another of my favourite websites MissGuided.co.uk (I DID IT YAAAY FOR ME).
So lets get straight into the outfit!

For the Winter Wonderland category I wanted to make an outfit that would be cosy but still cute for a walk in the park in chilly, snowy weather!

I choose a pair of burgundy coloured jeans (Adina Zip Detail Skinny Jeans In Burgundy £19.99 MISSGUIDED). Coloured jeans are a great way to add a pop of colour to an outfit!
I paired it with a warm oversized jumper (Dreama Stud Shoulder Jumper In Black £16.99 MG) and these gorgeous pair of black biker boots to toughen the outfit up a bit (Lotus Biker Boots £50.00 BARRETTS). For accessories I choose a plain oversized black bag (Dual Strap Hangbag £26.00 BARRETTS) and a gold ring (Jazzi Decorative Cuff Ring £6.99 MG). I skipped any neck jewellery as the jumper already has gold detailing on the shoulders.

Current Fashion Wishlist

So lately I've been OBSESSED with BeautySets.com (follow me here).
I decided to share with you my current fashion wishlist! These are the items that I've spotted while browsing online that I've added to my favourites on my internet browser in the hopes that I'll win the lottery and be able to buy them all!
So let me tell you more about each of these items!

1. ASOS Frame Metal Clutch Bag €25. This also comes in black but I thought I'd add the pink as a pop of colour seeing as I already have a black bag in this wishlist!

2. Georgina Sleeveless Chiffon Spike Collar Blouse in 'Wine' €28. I loved the colour of this! I think it will go great with black skirts/jeans

3. River Island Pink Dip Hem Midi Skirt. £10 down from £25! I saw this and thought the colour is absolutely gorgeous! For only £10 its an absolute steal! It would really add a pop of colour to an all black outfit!

4. BOOHOO.com Cody Motorcycle Stitched Waxed Skinny Jeans €30. I've been lusting after these for ages now! The stitched detail on these is amazing. (http://www.boohoo.com/europe/clothing/jeans+denim/icat/jeansdenim/new-in/cody-motorcycle-stitched-waxed-skinny-jeans/invt/azz61931)

5. ASOS Skater Skirt in Bird Print €22.22. For a few days I was contemplating whether or not to get this skirt. At the moment I'm still saving for Christmas so hopefully it will still be there after Christmas!

6. River Island Cross Body Bag £18. I am IN LOVE with this bag! Its probably my favourite item out of them all! My current black cross body bag is in bits (the part of the zip you hold onto is broken) so once I have some spare cash this baby will be mine!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my current fashion wishlist! I know I had fun making this up on Beauty Sets!
Let me know what you think of my fashion wishlist items and show me yours! Leave a link below!

Christmas Party Outfit: Blogger Challenge with FashionVouchers.com

So this is my Christmas Party Outfit under £100.
I chose ASOS as my merchant as I personally always find something I love there.
I really enjoyed putting this outfit together, I actually ended up doing 3 but this was definitely my favourite so I chose to enter this one!
I love this dress! It sooo pretty with just a hint of sparkle on the bodice for the holiday season!
I personally don't like looking like a Christmas tree so a little hint of sparkle is always great!
As for the shoes, I ALWAYS wear wedges out from now on! It saves my feet a lot of pain and they are so much easier to walk in, especially if you decide to get a little bit merry around Christmas ;)
This clutch is so cute! Its the perfect size to fit all your essentials without lugging around a huge bag of crap, lets face it, we're all guilty of that sometimes!
I'm avoiding jewellery for this outfit, maybe pop on a few rings but as the bodice is quite in your face I'd definitely avoid any neck jewellery.

If you'd like to take part in this challenge you can check out FashionVouchers.com or go straight to the contest page here

Good Luck!

Collective Haul

One of my favourite posts/youtube videos to watch is hauls. I think I'm just a nosy person haha.
Sometimes someone will show something that I would love and didn't know was in a certain store so I can add it to my list of things to pick up when I go shopping again!

Tbh I never really go on shopping trips, like I never go to town with a purse full of money with the intention of buying a lot of stuff. That usually only happens around Christmas or my birthday. The rest of the time I just happen to see stuff when I'm wandering around shops and pick things up randomly throughout the month.
This month, I didn't really buy much because I'm trying to save for Christmas (good luck Emma) but I thought I'd show you anyway!

NOTD - China Glaze Purr-fect Plum

Because I only have mainly bright nail polishes. I wanted a dark polish for Autumn that wasn't black. I find black to be quite harsh looking on my nails. Although the weird thing is I like it on other people.
I wanted either a burgundy or a plum colour and ended up picking up Purr-fect Plum by China Glaze.

Please excuse my horrendous application. I painted them at 10pm i.e complete rush.
I think I even have finger prints on a few nails. Ohwell, I'll be taking it off tomorrow probably and I wanted to get a NOTD post up!

Although I was hoping for a more red toned polish I do like this, It's essentially a very dark purple.
If you can recommend some pretty darkish polishes for autumn then please do share with me! I'd love to try a few more!

Accent Tag/Challenge - Irish

So I ended up filming an accent tag and I keep pissing myself laughing when I watched it after editing it because I have such a horrendous accent. I actually do not pronounce half the words correctly. I.e water = wa-er.
If you do want to watch it you can watch it here:

Also excuse the vampire/voldemort complexion, I filmed this near a window for natural lighting and it looks like I'm sitting infront of the sun! I don't know how other youtubers manage to use natural lighting without being washed out!

Beauty Blogger Headquarters: November Task

I was immediately intrigued. After visiting the site I wanted to participate!
So this months task is to share how you became a blogger.

How long have you been blogging?
I dont remember exactly when I started the blog but my first post was published on the 24th of January 2012.
What/who inspired you to start blogging?
I've watched youtube videos for years and wanted to share my experiences with products, my opinion etc but was never brave enough to make my own videos. I started following blogs and decided to make my own as a way to share MY experiences and I couldn't be happier!
Did you tell your family and friends about your blog? If so, what was their reaction? Are they supportive or "in the dark" about your blogging?
I haven't told anyone yet! I'm not trying to hide it but I don't go out of my way to tell people.
What goals or dreams did you have for your blog when you started? Have you accomplished them?
To have a solid following who would share their opinons with me. I'm not quite there yet!
If you could give your beginner-blogger-self one tip of advice, what would it be?
STOP TRYING TO HIDE YOUR BLOG. When I first started I did my best to hide my blog, I never put a photo of myself on posts etc but now I really dont care!
What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being a blogger?
Getting to talk about makeup and beauty products. Plus it gives me a reason to buy new products! My least favourite is that I love makeup and would love to do tutorials and stuff but you cant really do that in posts.
What does your blog name mean? How did you decide on it?
I tried so hard to come up with a name but just couldn't so I ended up picking a random one, I originally wanted 'Where the Pretty Things Are' but someone else already had that and I ended up going with All The Pretty Things (I think it came from the song all the small things hahaha). But I'm glad I went with this name.
