Purple Leopard Print Nail Art (Shellac)

I apologise for the lack of posts lately, I've been feeling a bit meeh and uninspired.
I've always loved the look of leopard print nail art so one day when we weren't too busy in work I decided to give it a try on my own nails. I was actually quite proud of how well it looked!

I basically started off with a lilac shade, I used Shellac because I wanted it to last. Once all my nails were dry I just dotted on the pink with normal nail art polish, and dabbed the black around the pink using a black nail art pen. The good thing about this is it actually looks better messy. At first I did the lines quite neat and it didn't look as good so I basically just dabbed the black around it messily. My right hand looked a lot better than my left (I'm left handed) and it literally took me like 5 tries to get the left hand right haha.
Other than that, Its sooo simple to do like you honestly just have to copy from a photo.

NOTD - Pink Princess Nails

Yes these are what I call my princess nails. It was a quiet day in work so I was going to Shellac my nails, the boss' niece who works at recepetion sometimes was very kind and offered to do them for me as it takes 10 times longer to do them yourself as you have to do one hand at a time to get them perfect. She did a really good job for someone who doesn't do them often!
The light pink is Strawberry Smoothie, the bright pink is Pink Bikini, then over the top we put a pink glitter in Grapefruit Sparkle. I think they're so cute :D

OOTD - Aztec Tea Dress

Being a girly girl, I love dressing cute and girly and what's more girly than a tea dress?!
This dress from FDAvenue* has been a godsend during the hot weather. I don't actually own many 'day' dresses. My friend and I were going shopping and being paranoid about my thighs I didn't really want to wear shorts as I'm constantly pulling them down to avoid the dreaded 'ass cheeks hanging out' fiasco that seems to be popular with the young wans (young girls FYI) these days.
I did wear a pair of my young cousins high waisted black shorts (they're like the knicker shorts but her Mam made her buy them in a size 14 - shes an 8- so they'd be an appropriate size on her & wouldn't show her ass hahaha) underneath the dress as I'm paranoid about it blowing up in the wind.
I had a lovely day catching up with my friend and shopping. I got a few nice bits which I'll be showing in future OOTD posts, I might do a haul as they were actually all quite the bargain on sale!

I hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather lately!
If any of you know any websites that do cute day dresses please do let me know as I'm interested in some more!

Whats In My Bag? TAG

A few weeks ago I showed in a post a new bag that I'd gotten and said I would show you all whats in it once enough time has passed to allow things to naturally accumulate.
So, here it is!

Now, granted its actually quite empty as I've only been using it for work the past few weeks and things haven't really built up but anyway!

So first the pink makeup bag holds..well my makeup, duuh. I don't bring this every day as I can't be bothered but if I can fit it, I throw it in there! Next I have a small canister of deodrant just for a quick spray all over during work as it can get hot running around in our uniforms. I have a small bottle of hand sanitiser because I'm quite paranoid about germs and stuff. I also have a few hair clips, because I have long hair its hard to put in a bun so I have to use quite a lot of clips but I like to carry extra just in case some hair escapes! Then I have a pack of chewing gums, the only ones I ever buy are the Extra ones in the turquiose/teal pack. I won't chew any other gum. I always have a bottle of water in my bag too and then of course I have my purse.

My purse is purple and has a snakeskin (I think its snakeskin, I dont know my skins tbh) effect. I've had it at least a year now and its still going strong!

So thats everything in my bag, obviously I also have some womens products in there too but I didn't think anyone wanted to look at tampons so yeah.

If you have a whats in my bag post link it below so I can be nosey!

NOTD - Shellac Grape Gum

So last week we got some new CND Shellac colours in the salon and of course I had to try one of them!
Although I don't normally step outside the red/pink nail polish zone I decided to try this bright purple shade called Grape Gum and I'm delighted with it!
At first it felt weird as I'm not used to seeing purple on my nails, also I had just had my acrylics removed and felt awful with really short nails, I'm getting used to it now!

Because my nails were so damaged by the acrylics I'm trying to get them back to good health so if anyone has any tips on strengthening or growing your nails please let me know!
