Cute DIY Storage for Handmade Soaps

Just a quick little post showing how I store my handmade soap. The soap in this post is by Beauty Emporium (review here).
First, I cut up my slabs into cubes using a kitchen knife and then wrapped them individually in clingfilm (to protect them). This just makes it easier to grab a piece to take to the shower. Without leaving the whole slab in the shower to dissolve and get gross. Plus I think it looks so much cuter like this! Obviously try and make the clingfilm a lot neater wrapped around it, Because I was only trying it out I just ripped pieces of clingfilm off and threw them together but really liked how it turned out so Ill try to be neater next time and actually use scissors!

Handmade Soap from Beauty Emporium

*UPDATE: Ive just been speaking to Stephanie from Beauty Emporium and she told me my sample was labelled wrong and it is in fact Black Raspberry & Vanilla. No wonder it didn't smell coconutty haha.

I've always been a fan of Lush bath products so when I saw Beauty Emporium were doing an offer on their own handmade soaps I snapped up the chance to try some! I wanted to try one first before I went and ordered a whole bunch! Each piece (around 125g) costs €3.50. At the time of ordering there was a 15% off handmade soaps coupon code (incl. at the end of the post) and they were also doing free Irish shipping so it ended up costing me just €2.97 for the 125g piece! I ordered it Thursday night and it popped through my letterbox on Monday morning meaning it was sent out Friday. Who doesn't like super fast shipping?!

Now onto the actual soap!..

ELF COSMETICS WISHLIST

*excuse the lack of posts lately, I've been trying to post this for a week now but internet explorer had other ideas! Thankfully someone suggested I try Google Chrome and VOILA! It worked.

These are my top picks from the ELF Cosmetics website (eyeslipsface.co.uk). There are a few other things I would like but these are the things that I will probably pick up soon..

Custom eyes palette (€1.70) with 4 eyeshadows (€1.70 each)

I think these palettes would be sosososo handy, I love having one palette with all my neutral colours, all my smokey eye colours and so on. I also hear these fit MAC shadows aswell. I do wish they had more colour options though. I love how cheap they are too. I'm not too sure of the quality but I looked up swatches and the pigmentation looks pretty good! Especially for €1.70!

 Blending eye brush €1.70

When I saw this for €1.70 I decided I had to have it, I don't have a tapered blending brush and for that price I couldnt leave it. I also heard ELF brushes arent too bad either so for €1.70 its a bargain!

Lip stain €3.00

When I saw these I knew I had to have them. I've been lusting after the Rimmel Lip Stains for a while but never got round to picking them up. At €3.00 these are a steal! Unfortunately I've just been on the ELF website and they seem to be sold out of ALL the colours!

Nail polish €3.00

I seem to be having a bit of a nail polish obsession at the moment. ELF has a huge range of colours and these are the top 4 I picked out, although if I had my way Id be buying every single colour!

Healthy Glow Bronzer in 'Warm Tan' €1.70

Ive been on the lookout for a new bronzer so just threw this into my Wishlist to try. There are 4 colours to choose from: Sun Kissed, Warm Tan, Luminance, Matte Bronze. Because Im quite pale I choose Warm Tan which seems to be the medium shade (Sun kissed looks slightly orange while Warm Tan is brown). Luminance is more of a highlight than a bronzer.

Professional Shine Eraser €1.70 for 50 sheets

I've never used oil blotting sheets before because to be honest ive never had oily skin, its always been extremely dry. But lately I've noticed my forehead  between T-Zone has been getting oily so I thought I'd try these!

Large 'Get the Look' Set. €10.00

So I put this in here because I think these would be great cheap but cheerful gifts to give to people for Christmas/Birthdays etc. Especially for younger girls who are only getting into makeup, they would be delighted with this to start them off! They're also perfect if you're new to ELF and want to try a few of their products. The kits come in 3 colours: Brown, Mauve and Smoky and at only €10.00 are perfect little sets.

While we're on the subject of gifts, I was thinking of doing a 'cheap gift ideas' series/post as it gets closer to Christmas to give people ideas on what to give as gifts without breaking the bank! I know its hard to stick to a budget when you have a large number of people to buy gifts for! So keep an eye out for that post!

If any of you have tried ELF please do let me know what you think of them and if the quality is good.

DIY Natural Face Masks for Every Skin Type

Ive been meaning to do this post for a while now but never got around to actually doing it. Better late than never eh!
I personally love making my own facemasks. Not only are they fun to make and put on but they're also 100% natural so you dont need to worry about putting nasty chemicals on your face! Plus they're super cheap, most of the ingredients you'll probably have at home!
Below I've listed each ingredient and which skin types it suits. You can mix and match the ingredients that suits your skin however you like. Ive also included underneath a few of my favourite mixtures to make to give you some ideas!

Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara

Please Dont Wear Red Tonight..

Another random lyric title, brought to you this time by The Beatles.
I was just going into town today with my Mam for a look around and then for lunch so I wanted something I could just throw on and be comfy in. I got this cardigan a few days ago in Penneys (Primark) for €14.00, I already have it in navy and love it so I picked it up in red, I love the gold detail buttons down the front and also on the shoulders. I got a size bigger than I usually am as I prefer my cardigans/jumpers to be baggy. Underneath Im just wearing a 3/4 length white top with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and plain black pumps. The bag I used was a large navy tote style bag that my friend got me for my birthday. I kinda wish I had painted my nails though.

Sleep In Rollers Review: My Honest Opinion

I've heard so much hype about the Velcro Sleep In Rollers that I decided to try them for myself. I thought they would be handy to have instead of spending ages using the curling wand to curl my hair. I also heard the rollers give you good volume and because my hairs quite long it tends to get weighed down and lacks volume so I thought they'd be great! Especially after seeing the girls on Desperate Scousewives etc wearing them and then later you'd see them with big bouncy curls!

Lauren Goodger

I got mine for €20.49 (20 rollers) in a local pharmacy. I couldn't wait to put them in.. I then realised you needed hair clips to pin them into place. I didn't have any so I had to wait to put them in until I got a few packs.
Now, I don't know if I'm just thick but I had trouble putting them in. I had to get a hand from my good oul Mam to put them in. Its hard to pin them into place when you can't see what you're doing!
The night that I put them in I went to bed.. Now below I'll insert a section of the post that I wrote at about 12am that night when I couldn't sleep. I wanted to make sure I remembered exactly how I felt that night..

Essence Eyeliner Pen

After using gel eyeliner for almost a year I decided I wanted to try a liquid eyeliner for a change. I picked up the Essence Eyeliner Pen to try. I got mine for €3.09 in a local pharmacy.

Essence 'Eyebrow Designer' Eyebrow Pencil

Fade to Grey.

So I wasnt really sure what to call this post. I wanted it to be random so I just picked a random song with the word 'grey' in it. ANYWHOOOOO, This is what I wore today. I was just running into town so I wanted something comfy.
If I had to pick a word for my 'style' it would be 'simple'. Which is probably why Im so obsessed with LLYMLRS.com, I wouldnt usually wear what she wears but I still love what she wears and I love seeing her outfit posts.
